Sloane tells so many lies that it’s hard to keep them straight. This becomes particularly problematic when she lies her way into the Lockhart household as their nanny. Soon, she’s dressing like Violet Lockhart and lusting after her husband Jay. But maybe Sloane isn’t the only one who lies. In a propulsive thriller with Gone Girl vibes, we see what happens when all the lies crash into each other like a six-car pileup.
While the pacing and payoff felt predictable, getting there was enjoyable enough. This is definitely a good one if you like unlikable characters. All of them are vapid, entitled, or both – none of them ever learning from their mistakes.
